Basically, a Skool group consists of four main features:
- Community
- Classroom
- Calendar
- Gamification
Within the community people can engage with each other via posts, likes, comments and direct chat messages:
In the classroom your customers can learn by following your courses/training programs…
Via the calendar you can schedule online and offline events such as recurring calls, webinars and meetups for you and your members…
Gamification awards points to members for each ‘like’ they get on their posts/comments. Reach a certain amount of points and you ‘level up’. Rewards can be linked to each level to boost engagement. Leaderboards show the most active members and rewards for each level…
The community of a Skool group looks like this:
It’s a clean interface, where you can pretty much do two things:
- Post something yourself.
- Read and engage with posts of other members.
(more later on the types of posts you can do in a Skool community)
Here’s a screenshot of your average Facebook group:
They look similar and you can post/engage with other people’s posts in a Facebook group too.
But on Facebook, there’s always so much going on.
Visiting Facebook and navigating to your group feels like navigating through a busy shopping street.
Something or someone is always fighting for your attention.
Posting in a Skool community
Both members and admins can post in a Skool community
You can attach files, images, GIFs and videos (YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Wistia, or Bunny.net) to your post. It’s possible to run polls too.
When posting something, you do so in a specific category.
This helps to keep posts organized. Your members can easily view posts by category via pill menu and use the filter button to sort posts, which is handy for finding specific information quickly.
User profiles, chat and notifications
Each community member also has a public profile page:
On a profile page you can see:
- All community activity of that person, like what they posted and when, and what they commented on posts by other people
- Groups created by this person (can be hidden on group level)
- Groups they are a member of (can be hidden on group level)
Following someone means you get notified whenever that person posts.
Besides that, you can start a 1-on-1 chat (there currently is no group chat feature).
The Simplest Way To Make Money Online
In this video, I’m going to reveal a simple four-step process on how Isaac Ramirez is able to make $38,214 in Monthly Recurring Revenue with His Skool Community, Golden Suite Room.
Now, once you identify this four-step process, you’ll be able to implement it yourself in whatever niche or interest that you have.
Now am I telling you you’re going to make $38,214?
No, what I’m telling you is that this is a repeatable four-step process that anybody can use to make money.
If you need help implementing your simple four-step process, get started with the two-week free trial using my affiliate link to Skool down below.
I’ll actually work with you one-on-one to help you launch your community.
Without further ado, let’s go ahead and get into the simple four-step process.
I just want to show you down here that Mr. Isaac Ramirez’s Golden Suite Room is making $38,040.
Let’s go ahead and take a look at this four-step process.
Step number one is to identify a niche.
A niche is just where you’re going to create content.
It’s a hobby, an interest, a passion, or something that you generally like to talk about.
It is really important that you pick one niche and focus 100% on that niche.
What you should be doing is having one niche, one social media platform, and one focus.
All of your platforms should be dedicated to that one niche.
You can have multiple niches, but make sure you have separate verticals for each one.
People who are interested in basket weaving aren’t going to be interested in losing weight.
People usually focus on one problem at a time, and that’s why you want to have just one niche.
The niche that he is in is the wealth niche.
He is in the make-money niche, and he talks a lot about stocks and investing.
What I really like about his niche is that his content is in Spanish.
He has a different audience than most people.
This is really cool because a lot of people only try to target the U.S. market.
There are literally billions of people out there speaking different languages.
You can target a different language and have less competition.
That is step number one.
Step number two is to decide how you’re going to get attention.
The only way you can make money online is to get eyeballs on you.
You need to decide early on whether you are going to use free attention or paid attention.
Free attention is great because you don’t spend any money, only your time.
However, it can take longer to start getting traction and the attention you’re seeking.
Since you are using free methods, you have to put in more effort before seeing results.
There are trade-offs to using either method.
Free attention works very well.
There are lots of people out there getting free attention.
There are literally billions of people on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and more.
You just need to decide on one platform.
Another option is spending money to get paid attention.
Paid attention works well because you can get in front of the right people at the right time.
That can help you make money much faster.
However, the drawback to paid attention is that you’re going to have to spend some money upfront.
You will need to test different strategies and figure out what works best for your audience.
A pro tip is that whatever works for free attention will usually work twice as well or even ten times as well for paid attention.
You can use your free attention to test out strategies before spending money on paid ads.
That’s a pro tip that not a lot of people realize.
Once you have decided where you’re going to get attention, it’s important to focus on just one platform in the beginning.
A lot of people make the mistake of trying to be on YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, and all of these different platforms at once.
Each platform has its own independent algorithm.
It will take you time to learn what works best for each one.
I encourage you to learn and master one platform first.
Then, you can always expand later.
Now that we have decided on attention, let’s go ahead and talk about content.
That’s how you actually get in front of the people you want to sell to.
You have to create content so people can see you and so that you can make money.
This works for both free and paid attention.
What you need to do is decide where you are going to create content.
That will determine the type of content you should create.
For example, if you create content on YouTube, you will want to create SEO-friendly content.
SEO-friendly content means content people are actively searching for.
People on YouTube are searching for a solution to a problem they already know they have.
On social media, results-driven content, personal branding, and educational content work best.
Results-driven content shows proof of success, like someone making money or achieving a goal.
Since he is in the investing space, he might show results of his clients getting high returns.
He might show himself in a luxury vehicle after making money in the market.
With personal branding, he might show himself on the beach while everyone else is at work.
He might be in Maui sipping a piña colada while others are stuck in winter.
With educational content, he teaches people how to do different things related to investing.
Let’s take a look at what Isaac is doing.
He has 129,000 followers on Instagram.
His content is in Spanish.
He is talking about trading, showing results, and providing educational content.
He is also on YouTube.
One thing to note is that people who do well on social media don’t always do well on YouTube.
That’s because they try to repurpose their short-form content instead of creating SEO-focused content.
SEO-optimized content is the best approach on YouTube.
He is also on TikTok.
He only has 2,000 followers, but some of his videos are getting thousands of views.
Now that we have created content, the next step is to funnel people in one direction.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is that they don’t funnel their audience anywhere.
They get views and engagement but don’t guide their audience toward making a purchase.
When you don’t funnel people, you don’t make money.
There are a few different ways to funnel people.
You can create paid content and send people directly to a Skool community.
You can create content and send them to a landing page for email marketing.
This method works well because you can market to them again and again over time.
Another option is to create content and send people to a free Skool community.
Then, you can upgrade them to a paid Skool community.
The only drawback to this method is that Skool charges $99 per month for each community.
Money is a great gatekeeper because it keeps people from creating too many Skool communities.
You can also create content and send people directly to a paid Skool community.
Another option is to send them to a Facebook group first and then upgrade them to a paid Skool community later.
Let’s take a look at what he is doing.
He is creating content and sending people to Discord.
If I had a suggestion for him, I would tell him to focus on just one direction for his funnel.
He is using a link tree and then sending people directly to his paid Skool community.
It looks like he changed the link and is now sending people to a free group first.
Then, he upgrades them to a paid community by adding additional value.
That is how he is making money.
This is a simple four-step process that everybody on the Skool leaderboards is following.
It is something anybody can do.
You don’t have to be a genius.
You don’t have to be special.
You just have to follow these four steps consistently and persistently.
If you want to get on the leaderboard, you just need to scale.
Repeat the process again and again over weeks, months, and even years.
Many of the people on the leaderboards already had a following and simply brought them over to Skool.
You can do the same thing.
