Let’s dive in.

We’ll talk about larger product marketers for a second here.

And obviously, when you work with a larger product market, the products are going to be more expensive that you’re promoting.

They will probably have their own affiliate network and pay you in 30 60 days.

So in other words, they may not they’re probably not going to work on JVZoo Warrior.

Plus they might be on Clickbank, but they’re going to pay you in 30, 60 days. Clickbank pays you in 30 days.

They’re probably going to take your buyers through a longer process.

And this is important.

Again, when you’re talking about retaining authority, they’re going to take your buyer through a longer process.

They’re going to take them through three or four days of videos and they’re going to have two or three products in the funnel and one outside.

Again, it really is go ing to depend on your business model as to whether or not you want to put your buyers through that kind of marketing funnel.

You don’t have to do it right.

Again, if everything else is in place that I’ve been talking about here, it’s a good fit, it’s going to benefit them, it’s not going to confuse them, it’s not going to be out of sync, it’s not going to be out of character.

There’s probably going to be a good offer to promote even if it’s going to take them through a longer process because it’s probably going to sell more at that point.

And this is sort of why it’s a good idea if you can buy the product to get it or if you can get a review copy.

And then also whenever you are actually sending someone, let’s say a little less direct, you retain the authority.

Now, your incentive to work with bigger product marketers is going to be bigger commissions.

Once again, you are going to do the same amount of work whether or not the product is $5 or 500, I promise you, you are going to do the same amount of work to get people to the sales page.

Don’t shy away from a larger product vendor for the larger commission because it’s large, because you are going to work for a smaller commission.

Now, if you’re talking about sending cold traffic, I’m not a big fan of that.

But sometimes what happens is people will go looking for the best bonus.

They’ll ask their friends, well, who’s got a great bonus for this product? I’m going to get it anyway.

Again, I’m talking strictly about larger product vendors.

Now, again, if you can put together something that’s really super unique and awesome and people are looking for the most unique thing, they’ll sometimes buy your offer, buy the product through you just because they liked your bonus.

Again, this is why you want to have something unique and it’s going to stand out that people are going to say, oh, I know this person they’ve got this one particular bonus is really cool.

This is what it does, right?

If you can do that, then you will get a little buzz and people will talk about your bonus.

And some people will come who are bonus shopping and they’ll buy the product based on the ability to get your bonus.

I’ve done that personally.

Probably a number of you have also, right now, let’s talk about mid tier marketers, right?

So the mid tier sort of pricing, they’re going to be on JVZoo Warrior plus their own affiliate program.

They’re going to be more likely to pay an affiliate commission, instant commission.

We’re talking about this 17 27 97 they’re more likely to pay that.

Now, this is important.

When you get accepted, it’s quite possible you could be put on a delay, right, if you don’t have many affiliate sales, I don’t know a way around that.

The only way around that is you to have a relationship with a person that you’re applying to and you ask them to put you on instant commission.

But you have to understand though, that unless you really know the person, you could, the first time you apply to be an affiliate, be put on delay.

Right?

Now, these people tend to have three or four products in the funnel and one outside of the funnel.

So one of the ways people make their money back on the launch is they’ve got a product outside of the funnel.

Typically, you’re going to be sending warmer traffic.

They’re going to be people from your list and it’s going to be easier to convert, right?

So smaller dollar amounts, warmer traffic, easier to promote, easier to convert.

I want to end up by talking about the bonuses, right?

Because that’s sort of the thing that we just kind of highlighted.

That could be the thing that kind of brings people.

So let’s talk about what you’re going to do in a bonus.

Try to buy things ahead of time that you can have them reserved, that are unreleased.

When you get a chance to buy, and I think I said this earlier, when you get a chance to buy something that is, let’s say white label, you get a chance to buy something and it hasn’t been released and not a lot of people are going to see it.

This is something that if you can buy it, you want to keep it in reserve, right?

You can come back and use that as your bonus.

So again, it happens all the time, especially when you’re dealing with things like graphics, PowerPoint slides, all this kind of stuff.

When you’re going through the funnel, you always send up seeing something at the very end that says, hey, buy white label rights.

And it’s always going to be like 97 or 197.

Well, those are going to be the things.

Number one, not a lot of people are going to buy.

Number two, they’re going to make your affiliate marketing tons easier.

So yes.

Are you paying for it up front?

Yes.

But what you’re buying is you’re buying these things in reserve to use as bonuses.

When there’s a big launch, you can and should be using a bonus, right?

Your bonuses should be stacked and they should be unique.

So when I talk about stacking, what I mean is that you want to make sure that if there is an upsell, you should stack your bonuses.

So in other words, make sure you do something for the back end.

Now that’s harder to do with Warrior, plus it’s easy to do with JVZoo and I think it’s easy to do with Zaxa. So stack them.

If there’s at least one upsell, stack one on top of the other and make sure that people are getting both.

If they buy both, even if you have to have your support team verify receipts, that’s fine, because it’s probably going to be worth it to have your support person do that right now.

Again, I know that I’m kind of speaking from a different place there, but I think that if you can stack a bonus, even if they can’t get it automatically, then the tendency is it will still be worth your time to deliver that bonus manually by verifying their purchase.

One thing that you may be aware of, you may not always be able to compete with larger marketers in the bonus category.

So there’s always going to be somebody that’s got a better bonus than you have, always with more stuff.

The only leverage that you have ultimately is that you know your community, you know what’s best, you build trust.

Again, that sounds I know a little, Pollyannanish.

But the truth of the matter is that’s your secret weapon, not only do you know the pride, but that you know your community and you know what’s going to really benefit them and you know how to talk about it, right?

And of course there are formal and informal ways to do it.

You can definitely email people, right?

Or you can just be asking for feedback.

So in other words, how do you find out about your community?

How do you get a sense for what they’re trying to accomplish, what they’re looking for?

You can ask for feedback.

Ask people.

You can find out what people are really trying to do by really getting in touch with who the people are.

Every time you get a chance, every time you get a chance, try to ask for feedback.

Just try to eat feedback of any kind.

Every time somebody writes you back, you learn something.

Every single time you can say something like, hey, while I have you, I like to ask you a little bit about why are you now?

I mean, I don’t know.

It could be a little tricky with a weight loss product, but let’s say it’s golf.

Hey, you know what?

I noticed that you had a question about a golf problem.

While I have you.

Where do you golf?

How long have you been golfing?

What are you doing?

Again, you’re asking questions so that you can learn from it.

Why is this person buying a golfing product? Why are they buying this stuff?

What is it they’re trying to do?

And all of those things will help you when you’re doing a promotion.

All those things will help you when you’re trying to determine or you’re trying to pick an offer.

Because sometimes the truth of the matter is this you will pick offers that will be good for your community.

They’re not going to make a lot of money.

Maybe not even a lot of people are going to buy them.

You want to heir to that side rather than to pick something that’s going to get people all excited.

It’s going to tell them in their copy.

It’s going to tell them that they’re going to get rich overnight and they’re going to have great copy and great copywriters, and your people are going to buy it, and you will make money.

However, you will have lost trust when that product does not pan out.

So again, affiliate promotion has three phases.

I’m going to end it here. I’m going to kind of end up here.

Number one, it’s the phase where you pick and promote.

Number two is the actual promotion, right?

And whether or not the person who’s part of your community actually goes out and buy it.

Number three, you have zero control over.

That’s what an affiliate marketing promotion is.

What you don’t have any control over is whether or not, your community member is going to love it.

And if they like it, then they’re going to have a positive they’re going to have a positive experience and they’re going to take your future recommendations.

If they don’t, then what you’ve done is you’ve eroded a little bit of trust, right?

So you want to try to avoid that when you can.

Whenever you get a chance and you want to ask for again, when I say feedback, ask questions.

You’re not going to get a lot of people to write you back, but whenever you get a chance and you read it and you take it to heart, you take it to heart, everything that you’ve read that somebody writes back to you, not only can you help them individually because as online marketers, we have something unique.

We have a unique ability to help someone, provided that we’ve got the time to do it, but we’ve also got this ability to be personal in a way that you cannot do.

I would say even outside of Internet marketing, you have the opportunity to ask somebody, hey, what are you trying to accomplish?

And they know that, look, hey, I know this person is the only one that’s going to hear what I’m saying.

They know you’re the only person they’ve emailed about this.

All of those things are going to be beneficial to you as you build relationships.

And those relationships that you build are actually going to be the things you’re going to use to help you to promote as an affiliate.
